AzCA invites you to a meeting of our membership to discuss recent legislation in the Arizona Statehouse that concerns our profession. Members of our Board will be leading this interactive and informative discussion. Senate Bill 1482 will be addressed as will any other upcoming legislation. 

SB 1482

1 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
2 Section 1. Title 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding
3 chapter 8, to read:
4 CHAPTER 8
5 PRACTICES BY MEMBERS OF PROFESSIONS
6 ARTICLE 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
7 1-801. Therapy ban prohibition
8 A STATE OFFICE, AGENCY, POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THE STATE OR
9 LOCAL GOVERNMENT OR ANY ORGANIZATION WITH AUTHORITY TO LICENSE OR
10 DISCIPLINE THE MEMBERS OF A PROFESSION MAY NOT PROHIBIT, IMPOSE ANY
11 PENALTY OR TAKE ANY ADVERSE ACTION AGAINST ANY INDIVIDUAL WHO GIVES,
12 RECEIVES OR CONSENTS TO COUNSEL, ADVICE, GUIDANCE OR ANY OTHER SPEECH OR
13 COMMUNICATION, WHETHER DESCRIBED AS THERAPY OR NOT, WHETHER PROVIDED FOR A
14 FEE OR NOT AND THAT IS CONSISTENT WITH CONSCIENCE OR RELIGIOUS BELIEF.
